IMPRESSION SHARE, PRIMARY MARKET
At a glance. Client: a premium interior design firm and furniture showroom serving affluent second-home owners (anonymized). Role: fractional CMO for about a year. Scope: a full marketing audit and strategy, Google Ads rebuild, conversion tracking, AI search visibility, website content, and social content planning. Result: qualified design leads rose to about 9 to 10 a day, supporting a seven-figure annualized revenue trajectory.
The Challenge
The firm had a strong local reputation and a high-end aesthetic, but no marketing system behind it. Its best prospects were wealthy buyers furnishing second homes from hundreds of miles away, and nothing in its marketing was built to reach them or to tell a design inquiry from a casual browser.
Research and Diagnosis
I started with a marketing audit covering social media performance, competitive benchmarking on positioning, voice, SEO, and channel mix, the existing ad accounts, PR and lifestyle visibility, and CRM and email. A separate AI search visibility review showed how answer engines described the firm and which third-party sources they relied on.
What We Did
I rebuilt the Google Ads account from scratch: blocked irrelevant international traffic, split the campaigns into brand, design services, and showroom, targeted the two markets where buyers actually lived, and redefined conversions so the account optimized to real inquiries instead of page views. I also wrote website and portfolio content that told the story behind each project, and built a social content plan around the firm's real work.
Results
Qualified design leads rose to about 9 to 10 a day, supporting a seven-figure annualized revenue trajectory. In the first four weeks after the Google Ads rebuild, cost per conversion fell 15%, from $13.20 to $11.17, while impression share in the two target markets rose from 52% to 68% and from 59% to 70%.
What It Means
Luxury buyers research for a long time and decide in private. A premium firm grows when its marketing reaches those buyers where they actually search, and measures the inquiries that matter.
