AUGUST REVENUE, YEAR OVER YEAR
At a glance. Client: a premium portrait and wedding photography studio (anonymized). Scope: competitive analysis, Google Ads restructuring, conversion tracking, lead follow-up, email nurture, and website requirements. Result: July revenue rose from $19,326 to $55,715 year over year (+188%), and August rose from $19,990 to $46,485 (+133%).
The Challenge
Photography buyers comparison-shop, act emotionally, and decide quickly. The studio was paying for clicks across family, wedding, engagement, and headshot work under a structure that blurred very different buyers, and leads that didn't reply right away were often lost.
Research and Diagnosis
I started with a competitive analysis of the regional market and a full audit of the Google Ads account, then separated brand from non-brand demand and mapped search intent by service.
What We Did
I rebuilt the paid search campaigns by service line, fixed conversion tracking, and set seasonal budgets around when each type of client books. I also redesigned what happens after the inquiry, covering speed to lead, personalized follow-up, a nurture sequence for prospects who go quiet, and website requirements that protect the pages already ranking.
Results
July revenue rose from $19,326 to $55,715 year over year, an increase of 188%. August revenue rose from $19,990 to $46,485, an increase of 133%.
What It Means
For a premium service business, revenue depends as much on what happens after the click as on the click itself. Fixing both halves is what moved the totals.
